About Kane

Kane Cassil joined Rosell Law Group in 2021. Kane is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Texas. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, most often in the field of oil and gas. Kane is experienced in representing both operators and land owners, and his energy litigation practice covers a broad range of industry disputes, including oil and gas lease termination suits in Oklahoma and Texas, royalty disputes, surface damages and pollution disputes, JOA disputes, and quiet-title actions.

Kane has a broad range of experience, including in regulatory matters before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, asserting creditor’s rights in Bankruptcy, probate and estate administration, mineral title examination, mineral title curative actions, collections matters, and construction law disputes.

Kane graduated with highest honors from The University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2018, finishing fifth in his class. While in law school, Kane received numerous scholarships and honors, including Order of the Coif, 10 Academic Excellence Awards (designating the highest grade received in a given class), the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship, and the Comfort Top Ten Scholarship.

As a former petroleum landman, Kane brings years of energy industry experience and knowledge to his practice. Prior to practicing law, Kane worked as a landman on various prospects in Oklahoma and throughout the U.S., serving clients in diverse land-related roles. Kane also served as a Student Intern with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission while in law school.
